The Matrix Theatre Company endeavors to
build a creative environment that nurtures
and feeds the needs of the theatre
professional.  In the process, we have
explored a variety of theatrical genres and
styles, constantly challenging both actor and
audience.

We are honored that our innovative technique
has been critically acclaimed and rewarded
-- including numerous Ovations, LA Weekly
awards, Drama-Logue awards, Backstage
Garland awards and the Los Angeles Drama
Critics Circle (LADCC) awards.  Our LADCC
awards include consecutive Outstanding
Production awards for The Tavern (1993),
The Seagull (1994), The Homecoming
(1995), Outstanding Ensemble for Mad
Forest (1996), and 4 LADCC awards for The
Water Children (1998).  The Birthday Party
(2001), named Best Revival Production by
the LA Weekly, received numerous
nominations and awards, including five
LADCC nominations.

We hope you will join us at the Matrix Theatre
for our spring 2006 World Premiere
production of the musical
LITTLE EGYPT,
with book by Lynn Siefert, music and lyrcis by
Gregg Lee Henry and direction by Lisa
James.

Join our
mailing list to remain informed of
future Matrix shows.  We look forward to
seeing you at the theatre.
